Preparing to Film
In preparation for filming next week, this week I have begun to compile the logistics and specifics of the endeavor.
My opening sequence will not be heavily character-based, but more so imagery-based.
I will be acting in it as the protagonist and I will use two friends from class to pose as my missing husband and child, they will not have to act much, instead, I would like to take photos of us acting as a family to create a montage of old family photos.
Costumes will be our everyday clothes. In one of the live shots, my character will be wearing work clothes.
Props will also be limited. I will need a desk, a laptop, photos, and a letter.
The location will be at my home, where I can use both my mailbox and the woods around my house. For the desk shot, I can use a teacher's desk at school.
Filming will occur all next week with the camera help of my sister when I am in the shot.
There will be little to no script.
A normal class camera or my iPhone will work for filming.
Editing will be the most important element of the opening sequence.
