Symbolism-
Maddie and I began our shots with the symbol of the Trojan Head transitioning to a shot of a group of Trojan students. At Lely High School we have our Trojan mascot but each student also embodies a Trojan in their education and extra-curricular activities.
Contrast-
In our contrast segment, the shot opens up with a student deep in their economics textbook, displaying a hard-working, dedicated student. The shot then transitions to a student much more focused on texting in class rather than studying. One student is on task and productive while the other is not.
Simultaneity-
This segment begins with me going up the stairs. The clip cuts to Maddie heading down the stairs. The segment is resolved when both Maddie and I run into each other as we switch places while using the stairs.
Leit Motif-
Often the hallways are a stampede of students rushing to get to class before the bell rings. Maddie and I decided to use the William Tell Overture to signify the transition between classes.
Parallelism-
The scene opens up with Maddie drinking from the water fountain. The shot then transitions to me drinking water from my water bottle. Both of us are consuming water, just through different mediums.

I really like your 5 master edits! I especially liked your version of a Leit Motif! The musical accompaniment brought in humor and made the audience feel connected to the scene. It was easy to connect the subjects running with the audio. The contrast shots were also very effective in showing the difference between the two students. All your shots were very creative and I enjoyed them!! Great job!
